I got caught in a vortex of character development, conversations, and description and I couldn’t get out.  You see, the concept was born one evening when The Walker and I were sitting on our patio drinking coffee and enjoying the weather.  Our neighbor, The-Bitchy-Old-Lady-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, has a bird bath…go figure….it is a cherub holding up the bath portion.  It sort of looks like this….

And to be quite honest, it skeeves me out just a tad.  And it reminds me of the weeping angels from Dr. Who.

angels

The ones that don’t move until you blink, or turn your back on them.

So the concept was to follow Ralph’s slow descent into madness.  Maybe the cherub was moving, maybe it wasn’t.  The fact of the matter was that Ralph was seeing it.  Or imagining it.  The crazy part was where it got convoluted.

So there you have it kids.  You get to decide what happened to the poor guy.  I know what I think.
