Popcorn…….yummy, warm, buttery, salty pieces of heavenly goodness.  I love popcorn.  I even like the “old maids”…you know, the ones that only partially pop.

Popcorn supposedly has been around for some 9000 years.  It has been proven to be a myth that the indians in America taught the English settlers about popping corn.  I could care less.  I just love the stuff.

I remember popping corn in a skillet on the stove.  My family never used “Jiffy Pop”.  We just tossed oil in a pan, tossed in some kernels and let ‘er rip.

After it was popped we would put it in a paper bag, toss in some butter and salt and eat it.  Dayum, that was some good stuff.  Even better than theater popcorn.

And theater popcorn is pretty doggone good also.

In college I had my own corn popper.popcorn4

Popcorn was my snack of choice when I was in school.  It was easy, simple, and cheap.  Emphasis on the cheap.  But it wasn’t as good as theater popcorn.  I love that stuff.  I have even been known to go to a theater just for the popcorn, and not even watch a movie.

Did I mention I love popcorn?
