In my job I drive quite a bit.  Every day I drive at least 50-60 miles. City streets, rural roads, and the highway. During those travels , since being here in North Carolina, I have found that for some reason people are absolutely in LOVE with the passing lane.  So much so that they have to believe that the passing lane is there for their use only.

There is a problem with this.  Because not only do people camp out in the Passing lane….for the most part they aren’t even traveling at the posted speed limit.

Yeah.

The only thing that I can surmise from this is that at the same time when it was made legal to travel at whatever the hell speed limit you want to be it higher than the posted limit or at lower than the limit….a law was passed that basically gave the passing lane to whomever wants to camp out in it.

Or so it would seem here in North Carolina.

The unfortunate part of all of this is me going around cars like I am playing a real-life version of Frogger. And the looks when I go whipping past someone on the right. That I would have the temerity to do such.

Right.
