Look what I did there…..I wish that I could take all the credit for it…but I can’t.  What I can do is use it to my own devices. That is the ‘Murrican way, you know.

I started crocheting a few months ago. I like learning new things, and I already know how to work with hemp in making jewelry so learning how to crochet seemed like a pretty simple leap.

More a hop, if you will.

Off I went first learning how to single crochet, and then double crochet, and lastly half double crochet. My next step is to learn how to do a shell stitch, and a chevron.

Currently I am making a messenger bag out of hemp cord. Hemp cord is not usually used to crochet with, but….HEY BACK OFF! YOU AREN’T THE BOSS OF ME!

I have always liked doing that which I have been advised against doing. I am tricky that way.

The only concern that I am seeing so far in this bag is that it is going to use close to 1000 feet of cord. That is a lot of cord. It is going to weigh somewhere around 4 lbs….and most likely will be able to be used as a bullet-proof vest.

Which could come in very convenient. And I could potentially market it to anyone who didn’t want to buy a regular bulky bullet-proof vest.  Though I really don’t know for certain that it could be use as a body armour because I for sure am not going to test it on myself…..and even though I can think of a few people that I would like to test it out on…..that might not be the wisest move.

So.

Yeah.
