My partner and I do not see eye to eye.

She likes soft water. She says that it doesn’t dry out her skin and hair quite so much as soft water.

Me, having the skin of a rhino, don’t notice hard water. Soft water, though, takes much longer to rinse off of my skin.

This makes me somewhat insensitive. See the above comment about having the hide of a Rhino.

Water is deemed soft or hard depending on the amount of calcium, or magnesium particulates in it. Where we lived in North Carolina the water was very hard. At one time I lived in a holler in West Virginia where there was so much iron in the water that it would leave a ring if I forgot to keep the water softener full of tablets. 100 lbs at a time. Every month. Without fail. That sucked.

Our temporary housing now has soft water. I am wondering if it is softening my rough hide, or just tenderizing me.
