I returned home from my latest journey late in the afternoon on Thursday. My only real day off this week was Friday.

And I had a list of things that needed to be completed.

And I was pouting about it.

And then I started thinking about what I do at this point in my life. About all of the places that I have been in this past year and a half. All on someone else dime.

I have gorged myself on Dreamland BBQ.

I have eaten more than my weight in fried yucca, and pork.

I have eaten more than that in muffelatta, and beignets.

Drank an ocean of Cafe DuMond’s cafe aulait.

Found a great cigar store.

Gotten lost in Little Havana.

Passed hundreds of farms, and farm fields. Along with the various, cows, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, alpaca hanging out as I passed them by.

Things I never would have done if my life hadn’t taken that sharp turn just a few  years ago.

Silly man…..you livin’ the dream.

Don’t wake up.
