The things in my head go ’round and ’round

This is my life. You can’t have it.

Arby’s Rocks

Or at least their new reuben wrap does. I just finished off of one of those warm, tasty, delicious, absolutely scrumptious little babies. And I have got to let you know, that if you like reuben sandwiches, this wrap is going to change your life.

And this is a totally unsolicited comment from me. Though, I would be happy to take any compensation that Arby’s and their parent company would care to send my way. I will even take coupons as long as I can use them on their reuben wrap.

Let me know what you think about them.

Namaste.

Do you think you can do me a favor?

You see that box over there on the right? The one that says “google” on it? How’s about clicking on one of those links and letting me know where it takes you.

I would do it myself, but I can get beaten up and left for dead if I do it. So give it a little click for an old man, and let me know what happens.

Think you can do that?

I appreciate it.

Tuesday Ponderings

* when I vacation I tend to read the newspapers from that area, just to check out what is going on. I love areas where I can get my two a day paper fix in.

* Arizona is reeling from the downturn in our economy, you know, the recession that no one wants to call a recession. The housing market is on the mat right now with thousands of jobs being lost in the escrow market, and the real estate market.

* The state instituted a new way to verify immigration status that is causing major concern with employers. They are losing employees by the droves, and business because the employees brought in family and neighbors to buy. A much different consideration than what we have in Pennsylvania where folks aren’t worried about how they are going to keep their restaurants open if their employees can’t verify their immigration status.

* Yeah right.

* Arizona is one of 11 states where an insurance company can drop your coverage if you have a mental illness. What the hell is up with that?

* Don’t be an mentally ill, illegal alien living in Arizona working in the service industry.

Good Music from New Friends

One of the benefits of having a daughter who has a musician for her boyfriend is meeting his musician friends. I was listening to a band called Internal Defect out of Peoria, Arizona this evening.

Check out this video: Stray’s Breakdown!

I was telling their guitarist, John, that I thought that their sound was very reminiscent of Linkn Park while we were drinking beers this evening. He didn’t disagree too much, though I shouldn’t have tried to categorize his music like that. The band can also be found of their MySpace page at:

Go listen and tell them how wonderful they sound.

Tell them Phil sent you.

Even My Adsense Box is Mocking me

Check out all of the links for clowns.

That just isn’t right.  I should get paid twice for that kind of crap.

I hear the whisper of the rain

Took a look at Pennlive.com today to see that there is supposed to be some major rain coming in.

That makes me glad that I am in Arizona.

I came to visit my eldest daughter and her boyfriend/significantother/futurehusband/whatever. I can never figure out what to call folks any longer. Kinda goes along with everyone calling boyfriends/girlfriends their fiances. In my day (My GAWD, I am getting old) you only had a fiance when we gave her an engagement ring. Seems now that after the first date you are calling her significant your fiance.

I don’t get it.

What I do get is that the weather out here has been wonderful. A little on the windy side, but the sun is out, and there isn’t any snow or slush, and no rain.

I could get into the habit of liking this.

A whole lot.

Went to the Arizona Renaissance Festival on Sunday, and ran into 3 different vendors who also do the Pa RenFaire. Go figure on that one. Drank a lot of Harp ale. A LOT of harp ale. I love that stuff. Wish that I could have had a local beer, but there doesn’t seem to be a local brewer around. At least one that was at the festival.

That sucked. But the rest of the day was wonderful. Two more days here, and then back to the wind and rain. Other than seeing MLW, and The Princess, that sucks.

If only I could convince them to move out here.

Namaste.

All Hail Atlantis!

Atlantis Was America, Tampa Was The Royal City.

Are you living in Atlantis? According to a new video, America was the Lost Continent of Atlantis and Tampa Florida was once the royal city. Now we know! Tampa’s history goes back over 11,000 years. Dennis Brooks has matched the terrain that Plato described to that found in Tampa Florida and the Americas. See the video.

Have you heard about this? I always thought that Atlantis was down in the Bermuda Triangle. I remember reading about the various theories of who the Atleans were, and where they came from, but I have never heard of Tampa being the Royal City. This is very interesting. Enjoy the video.
