The things in my head today:
The youngest son telling me that on Thursday he is going to be jumping out of an airplane.
For the fun of it.
And paying $170 for the privilege.
What am I going to do with that boy?
Here is the company that he is paying to kick him out of a plane.
I have a well deserved week end off this coming Saturday, and Sunday. And of course rain is in the forecast. I am not digging on that at all. How can I nap in the hammock if it is raining?
We are going to North Carolina this year for vacation. I am thinking of investing in a camping hammock so that I won’t go through hammock deprivation while we are down there. Hammocks, along with beer, are Gods way of telling us he loves us.
At least that is my story.
Where are you going on vacation this year? Or are the gas prices going to keep you closer to home?
Let us know.

I think you’re right, Ben Franklin probably meant beer AND hammocks.
Check out Trek Light Gear’s hammocks, they’re perfect for traveling with and our lightest model only weighs in at 16oz. When I go on a trip I don’t even bother packing it in my suitcase, in the pouch it actually doubles as a perfect travel pillow for the plane, train, etc.
Hope you get some time in the hammock this weekend. If you’ve got a big tarp all you have to do is tie a line from tree to tree and then drape the tarp over it and tie it out on the sides. Minimal cost or even free if you’ve already got a tarp and it lets you hang out in the hammock even when it’s raining!

I am more than willing to do a test for you Seth and then write glowing reviews about any hammocks that you would like tested. I am just that kind of guy.
Namaste.

jason and i are going to toronto for 5 days in a few weeks. we’re flying to detroit and driving from there, since the flights directly to toronto are twice as expensive. it’s not a beach house by the ocean… but we can go to the ocean whenever. ^_^

That is the beauty of living in California. You have great weather, and the ocean is only a short drive away. I am jealous.
Namaste.
