Check out Trek Light Gear's hammocks, they're perfect for traveling with and our lightest model only weighs in at 16oz. When I go on a trip I don't even bother packing it in my suitcase, in the pouch it actually doubles as a perfect travel pillow for the plane, train, etc. Hope you get some time in the hammock this weekend. If you've got a big tarp all you have to do is tie a line from tree to tree and then drape the tarp over it and tie it out on the sides.
