<description>That is the beauty of living in California. You have great weather, and the ocean is only a short drive away. I am jealous.

<description>jason and i are going to toronto for 5 days in a few weeks. we're flying to detroit and driving from there, since the flights directly to toronto are twice as expensive. it's not a beach house by the ocean... but we can go to the ocean whenever. ^_^</description>

<description>I am more than willing to do a test for you Seth and then write glowing reviews about any hammocks that you would like tested. I am just that kind of guy.

<description>I think you're right, Ben Franklin probably meant beer AND hammocks.

Check out Trek Light Gear's hammocks, they're perfect for traveling with and our lightest model only weighs in at 16oz. When I go on a trip I don't even bother packing it in my suitcase, in the pouch it actually doubles as a perfect travel pillow for the plane, train, etc.

Hope you get some time in the hammock this weekend. If you've got a big tarp all you have to do is tie a line from tree to tree and then drape the tarp over it and tie it out on the sides. Minimal cost or even free if you've already got a tarp and it lets you hang out in the hammock even when it's raining!
