Did you hear? Jubilee day is coming!!
What? You have never heard about Jubilee Day? Were you born in the Arctic Circle?
Jubilee Day is the largest one day carnival/eatfest/craftbuying/walkingaroundinthefewestclothespossible/sweatingmy assoffbecauseitissofreakinghot/musiclistening extravaganza in the world.
At least that is how it is marketed. Jubilee Day started as a way for local farmers could bring in their best to show off to the rest of the local farmers. A one day street county fair, if you will. Since its inception it has grown exponentially.
So if you are in the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania area the third thursday in June, you are hereby invited to Jubilee Day 2008.
Just don’t park in front of my house. Or move the lawn chairs I have out there saving my parking space. Because that is what we do around here. We put lawn chairs in our parking spaces to save them. So that we don’t have to have your car towed for parking where we normally park. Even though it is a public street. You wouldn’t understand unless you live here.
Namaste.

3rd Thursday in June, huh? Let me mark my calendar! Pennsylvania isnt THAT far from Indiana, you know. But I’m only coming if I can park in front of your house. That HAS to be part of the deal.

I make one little comment about parking, and everyone goes nuts. Tell you what. We have a school parking lot just behind our house. I will save you a spot.
Namaste.

i have more of a problem trying to walk around through the mass amounts of people once i am there than trying to find a spot to park…

Nick! Glad to see you around, dude. I never did ask how your semester ended up at school. Hope it went well. I didn’t make it out to williams grove that Sunday that I said I would. Way back in the stone age, the 1980’s, I would go to this flea market outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan with my first wife and her Father. It was HUGE. In a big field. Seemed that the whole town was built around the market. I LOVE flea marketing. I won’t be going for the next few weeks, as I will be working, but we will have to meet one Sunday and then go for breakfast. After all, what is flea marketing without going for breakfast afterwards?
Namaste, dude.
