I am still trying to find something substantial to post concerning opposition to the Medical Marijuana proposal that will be going on the ballot on November 4th this year.
The only ones who seem to have a major concern are the police departments. Doctors, lawyers, mental health professionals all say that they have nothing negative to say about it. But the police do. Interesting. I would have thought that this would free them up.
Over 15 trillion dollars. That is 15 with 9 zeros behind it. has been spent in the war on drugs this year. That is alot of money. And that is at the federal level. At the state level the amount is $22,000,000 000. Staggering numbers, aren’t they?
Would could be done with that money if a chunk of it was freed up and used to help people?
Think about it.
Namaste.

Actually, the $15 trillion figure is how much has been spent in the last 35 years total since R. Nixon declared a “War on Drugs.” The annual figure is more on the order of $40 to $60 billion.

It doesn’t matter, there is no reason Marijauna should be under Schedule I. Alchohol does far more damage to the body, has no medicinal uses and is perfectly legal. Not to mention all the semi-legal phx drugs the youth of America is overdosing on. Back, knee or tooth pain? Here’s a perscription of vicodin for you to get hooked on. Yet we can not ease the pain of a dying patient…ridiculous.
