My son has "food intolerance" toward corn sweeteners. Since he was 3 yrs old (he's 13 now) I have had to stay away from HFCS (as well as dextrose, fructose, maltodextrin, sucrose, sucralose etc., there are 3 pages of ingredients that "can" be made from corn) In the beginning it was frustrating because not only was it difficult to find ANY processed food without these ingredients, it's difficult to tell a little child why everyone else in school can eat all these "goodies" on party days or snack time or reward time, and he can't. One adjusts, and there are many great processed foods in the health/organic stores now (and even in the reg groc store) that does not contain all this corn and HFCS. People need to unite and stop accepting what they are doing to our food. Let's talk about GMO's !! Now that's scary. If you're not sure about these, log onto www.youtube.com and search for "GMO's pinky", it's a great introduction. Peace.
