Now. We have a local Geico office who has their logo emblazoned on a car. And I see that car zipping around Harrisburg on a regular basis. In and out of lanes, going over the speed limit, the whole nine yards. That raises the question of whether the premiums paid by the individual policies go to take care of the tickets that the driver of the company vehicle gets.

Interesting thought, isn’t it?

What if. What if someone said to you that they had a job that you could do without having to leave your house. That it would make you more money than you are making now.

Would you do it?

What if you found out that it involved scamming people out of their money? Nameless, faceless people.

The only ones who seem to have a major concern are the police departments. Doctors, lawyers, mental health professionals all say that they have nothing negative to say about it. But the police do. Interesting. I would have thought that this would free them up.

Over 15 trillion dollars. That is 15 with 9 zeros behind it. has been spent in the war on drugs this year. That is alot of money. And that is at the federal level. At the state level the amount is $22,000,000 000. Staggering numbers, aren’t they?

Would could be done with that money if a chunk of it was freed up and used to help people?

I can understand canceling an appearance on a television show, but canceling your campaign? I agree with Letterman here, if you as a candidate have to head back to Washington to take care of the country’s business, then you have your running mate pick up the baton and move forward. Where is Palin in all of this? Being protected from the media and the public? Why? Is there something about her inability to talk intelligently about anything having to do with policy that has the McCain/Palin group uncomfortable? Do we want this person as our VP?

I am not thinking so.

Though is is pretty funny to watch Letterman taking McCain to task.

And the discussion is revolving around the different shades of white. Ivory, cream, winter white.

You have folks who are home during the day for various reasons, and what they can see on The Today Show is two female talking heads discussing why it is now in good taste to wear white after Labor Day.

That is what is going on in my head today. We are adolescents. Not well behaved adolescents. Spoiled adolescents. Who want what we want when we want it.

No patience. No concern about anyone other than ourselves.

What brings this on? We are all bitching about the price of fuel.

It has sky rocketed in the past year. Why? Any number of reasons, in reality. And one of them is that it is good for business.

Like it or not, if you have any stock in any oil company right now you are happy. If you own oil stock, you are making money. And isn’t that why you bought stock? To make money?

I wrote about a speed trap that is outside of the town I live in. Why do we need speed traps? Because people go faster than the speed limit. And if you break the law, then we employ people who are supposed to enforce the law. Again with the business.

Business is every where. Don’t want tickets? Don’t speed. Don’t want high oil prices? Find another source for fuel.

There are easy solutions to everything. Just do what needs to be done. We complain that our politicians don’t speak for us. That they speak for PAC’s. So vote them out. And vote in someone else. But understand that the PAC’s are there because they are making money. It is business. So at some point in time you will have to get rid of the PAC’s.

Can we all play nice without all of the folks that are between us trying to get our cash out of our hands? I wonder.

I have to wonder if my kids really understand that their Father…is a whack job.

Wouldn’t it just piss some people off if by some quirk, Hillary ended up getting the Demcratic nomination?

I mean, wayyyy too many folks are already talking that Obama is the one.

It makes me crazy when you try to play mind games with me. You have no idea how ignorant that makes you look, when I turn them back on your. Every time. And it is because you just are not as smart as I am. And take your check list with you.
