I am planning a garden this year. I have had gardens pretty much everywhere I have lived. Not that I am a master gardener….though I did contemplate taking the Master Gardeners course offered by the State of Pennslyvania when I lived there. That was when I have my worm farm also. I miss those worms.

Now that I am in Arizona I am in a completely different growing environment than what I am used to. I have to pay attention to where I I grow, how much water given…my daughter says that the sun here shoots out laser beams of death here.

I have to approach worm composting from a different direction also. The heat and the sun is anathema to the little wrigglers. I am going to be running 3 different composters this years. A regular tumbler composting that will have regular compost in it, a verticle composter that will have compostables from the orange tree, and the yard, and then finally another verticle composter that will have lawn and kitchen scraps that I hope I will be able to attract compost worms to. Worm composting, and the byproduct, vermicompost, is some of the best natural fertilizer you can get.

With all the being said, There will be videos along the way. They will all be available at @poundingsandproductions on YouTube, With teasers here. I hope you hang around to see what we end up with…because I make no guarentees….

Let’s Stay Together, shall we?
