It has become a regular part of our life.
At every cash register we go up to…being asked to contribute to this charity, or that. To round up our bill to the next dollar to help people.
And the way you are asked….
“Would you like to help feed a child?”
“Would you like to help a family in need?”
To say no is to look like a monster.
Well, guess what? I am that monster. I say no without a problem.
I contribute to charities of my choosing. I have no need to help companies look good when they state how much money their shoppers contributed to the cause of the moment. I would be more impressed is said company did their own contributing.
Just sayin’…..
