Who remembers when it started?
We learn that a lie will keep us from getting into trouble. Or get us something that we want.
We are taught to be honest. We read about it in books. We hear about it in our churches.
And we still lie.
Some lie a little. Some lie a lot. Some grow out of it. Some become more practiced at it.
And we continue to be surprised with people lie to us.
We all lie. It might be something small. It might be to protect someone from an ugly truth.
But we still do it.
Every single day.
And continue to be surprised when someone lies to us.
