On a daily basis I get my coffee settle in on the couch and fire up the Macbook.  I check my email for any job offers (none yet, Mom.  But we still have our fingers crossed), interesting tidbits of this and that, and notes from friends.  And then the fun happens.  I save this part for last because it is both the joy, and anguish of my day.  The Sturm und Drang, so to speak.  I fire up the statistics of this blog.  I get to see what is being looked at, when and, in general, from where.

I have discussed my dabbling in these writings here, and touched on it here.  If you haven’t read those posts, go ahead and click on the links and we will wait here until you get back.

Good?  Ok.  The point that was not made in those posts that needs to be made here is that there is an art to the writing of these posts so that they are viewed not only by the people who click on them in social media, but also by search engines.  And as I fired up my stats this morning I saw a hit from China again.

What the hell?  China?

So I started digging in the other weird hits I have received…from France, and Russia…..and figured out….without too much work…that I am being used as some kids school project.  Or, to be more exact, I am being searched for some kids homework.  The titles of the posts that have been clicked on were something that some school kid typed into google.  Amazing.  On a number of levels. First, that my titles were that searchable, and secondly that I picked the verbiage out so well.  Woo Hoo!!!!  Years after shutting all of my blogs down but for this one and two others, I am still getting hits.

Ok, fine….that last part hooked off into the nerd farm, but still…  Ok, back to the research.
