Between today, and tomorrow every college student who is planning on traveling for Thanksgiving will be at their destination.

As long as their flight isn’t cancelled due to weather.

And as much as we want the time to be prosaic, and full of good times hanging around watching movies, eating snacks, laughing, and telling family stories…we parents know what is really going to happen.

Not that kids don’t want to be with us…it is just that the thought of being with their friends drinking, dancing, laughing, and telling stories with them is sooooo much more fun and interesting that doing it with family.

And of course when this happens…..we as parents also know what is going to happen……the roll of the dice in making decisions…

Because at the crossroads of decisions…

We know that rather than just going ahead and making the right decision….it sometimes is just a little more fun to roll that dice and take the chance.

Talk to your kids….they get tired of hearing it…they get aggravated with you hounding them….but let’s keep them safe.  We can put up with their being irritated as long as they are still breathing and not in the hospital.

No drinking and driving kids.
