yea, I am thinking that it is time for a day off from packing up, thinking about packing, and wondering about what the future is going to hold.
When you talk about non-scheduled days off most people think of Matthew Broderick…
Not one of my favorite movies, but hey…it was the 80’s. And pretty much the only movie that Matthew Broderick will ever be remembered for. The 80’s were a weird time. Time for major changes. I could deal with not going through that stuff ever again.
So, of course when I don’t have anything that I really need to do my head and body decided that 6:30 was the time that I needed to get up and get moving. Even though there wasn’t going to be any moving going on….
Because, it is going to be my day off remember?
When I was in the working world, you could always tell when someone just needed a mental health day. They would be fine one day, and then the next they would be calling in coughing, and wheezing, sniffing, and snorting telling you that they were on their death bed.
Of course you don’t want sick people at work. They can and will infect not only their co-workers, but any customers that they would come into contact with. And everyone knew that, so that was the card that was always played. Thankfully that isn’t a card that I need to play to day.
So, what do you do when you take a non-scheduled day off?
