To say that the time between Christmas and New Years is a wasteland is an understatement.
The wrapping paper, and empty boxes have been taken out to be picked up by the trash man….
In some houses the tree has found its way out to the curb also. Waiting for pick up, or recycling.
There is nothing on television, and it is time for the decorations to come down and be packed away for yet another year.
Unless, of course, you are one of those who keeps them up year round. You just never take them down. And there are plenty of them out there. You know….you turn the Christmas lights into summer patio lights….or some such.
When do you take down your lights and decorations? Do you keep them up through New Years, or are they down the day after Christmas?
Drop me a line and let me know what your routine is. The comment box is down at the bottom, and you know what to do from there.

We take down the tree and all decorations the day after Christmas. One year, however…I took the tree down ON Christmas day!

Well, Phil, I think I was just sick of seeing the tree and wanted the house to be organized again. I THINK the kids were at least teenagers when I did that. Yeah….I did it… Now that Jeff and I always go to Dallas to stay at our daughter’s house, we don’t even bother with a tree. Funny how that happens. I mean, really…why go to all that trouble if no one comes to the house?

I agree with you totally. I haven’t put a tree up in the last three years, and believe me, I do not miss it or the decorations…Such a Scrooge I am…
