I am tired of being cold.
And I am not even talking about the bone-chilling kind of cold that we had just a couple of weeks ago. No, I am talking about the bottoms of my feet being cold walking on the hardwood floors. The cold from walking on the tile in the kitchen. That feeling of a small, oh so tiny hint of a draft coming from somewhere…even after you have put plastic up on all the freaking windows, and put draft catchers under all the doors…THAT ghost of a draft that just catches you bare leg in the middle of the night. Or hits your neck and sends chills down your spine.
I am sick to DEATH of that cold.
I need summer.
I need taking the top off the the Del Sol and feeling that warm breeze as I drive. I need being able to pull on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and walking out the door. The feeling of sweat rolling off of my bald head.
I need summer now. I don’t need the sunburn that I will inevitably get, but I will relish in that feeling more than I relish in the feeling of this continual cold. I need the feeling of the sun baking through my skin into my bones. I need the feeling of sitting in the shade on a hot day.
I don’t think that I am going to last much longer…..

Brian, I hope that you have a safe ride, and that you enjoy the hell out of it. Me? I just finished shoveling yet once again. I am going to sit back, enjoy a cigar and an adult beverage and just dream of warmer climes, and sunny times….Thank you again for reading and commenting.

I’m with you Phil, can’t take much more of the cold, the only thing giving me hope is that we will be heading to Mexico on Friday for 7 glorious days of soaking up the sun, warm breezes and lots of adult beverages.

Faye, thank you for commenting…I do expect a myriad of pictures involving sand, sun, and inappropriate amounts of alcohol being consumed. Oh, and have a great time.
