“Morning, hon. How is the world?”
Amy Townsend stepped out of the kitchen onto the patio with a mug of coffee in her hand.
“Good Morning, Sweetheart,” Ralph answered. “Nothing much going on out here.”
Amy sat down next to her husband and crossed her legs. Holding her coffee mug with both hands, she looked over the rim.
“Have you noticed anything different about the Addison’s backyard?”, Ralph asked.
“Like what?”
Ralph shrugged, “I don’t know. I just have this feeling that something is, you know. Different. Like something out of place, or something new having been added.”
Amy scanned their neighbors yard, and looked back at her husband.
“Since when do you care about people moving their stuff around,” she asked. “I have never known you to give a rats patoot about that stuff.”
Ralph shot her a look and said, “I don’t!. But I have been coming out here for the past 15 years. Sitting right here every morning with everything being the same. Until today. Something is different.
Amy smiled, “Are you losing your mind on me?”
Ralph smiled back, “You never know. Want more coffee?”
And as he got up and headed for the kitchen with their coffee cups, he looked back at the Addison’s yard. And it came to him. It was the bird feeder.

Sorry Bro… my ADHD won’t let me continue this thread. Lack of retention makes keep going back to reread the others. (Bird feeder… bird feeder… bird feeder – maybe now i can recall where you left off). Or… you could just drop me a message when you get to the punch line. You do have some talent with the pen my friend!
