Love conquers all.
Love will keep us together.
All you need is love.
With love, all things are possible.
Sometimes love just ain’t enough.
We were watching the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” this afternoon.
I’m not going to go into the plot line of the movie, but it did bring up a question that I have had for years. And that question is, “Why do women see love so differently than men?”
From my limited point of view…..women see love as a framework to build upon. A shelter against the storms that life throws at you. And in the same vein, no pun intended….Men see love as a place of refuge. A place where they are safe and can heal from the world outside.
I just do not completely understand it. Why love means one thing to one person, and something completely different to another. But they can still meet in the middle and make it work.
And why some people seem to struggle at it, and never make it work.
After all, what does love have to do with it all.

Personally I still believe that love is the most important thing we can teach our children..and the real deal is self love…loving and accepting our self in spite of all of our imperfections…..

Shelley, thank you for that, but really. What does that mean? I know what acceptance of self is, but what is the love that gets us to that point?
