Now that December has pretty much hit the road…all that is left is the wringing of hands, and the gnashing of teeth….the next month we have to deal with in this holiday season is January.
January if the first month of both the Julian, and the Georgian calendars. Named after the Roman god Janus who could look both forward and backward. Considered the god of change, the birthstone for January is the garnet which represents constancy.
Really.
A two-headed god representing change, and a birthstone that represents constancy. Who thinks these silly things up?
January is a long, cold, bleak month that has absolutely nothing to look forward to after New Years Day. Unless you are me, and what I have to look forward to is a move further south along the Gulf of Mexico in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
Don’t hate me because I will have my toes in the sand whilst you are all freezing your butts off.

Let’s start by learning how to spell the word “incessant.”
