I do not care.

I just wanted to express that fully and completely up front. Because I want there to be no confusion as to where I stand on this whole transgender situation.

I don’t care.

I don’t care if you are straight, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transgender. It makes no difference to me. Your sexual preference is yours and yours alone. I don’t need to know about it.

Bruce Jenner deciding that he is a woman. I don’t care. I will never meet Bruce Jenner. I didn’t watch her interview on ABC because, again, I don’t care.

Discovery Channel has a new show coming called “New Girls on the Block”. Why would I want to watch a show about this any more than I would want to watch a man who I will never meet discuss his gender choice?

I wouldn’t, because I don’t care.

Does this make me a cold, uncaring person? Depends on who you ask, but I personally don’t think so. The argument could be made that there are many movies and tv shows that depict gay and straight couples. Which begs the question, why not movies and tv shows depicting transgender life? And my answer would be, I don’t care.

You watch what you want, I will watch what I want. The American Way. Just do me one little favor.

Don’t expect me to care.
