I don’t understand people who do not sweat.
Just can’t wrap my head around it.
I have sweat every day of my life. It is a fact of my existence on this planet. I suspect I came out of my mother looking for a towel to wipe my face with.
When I was younger I was always told to lose weight, that my being fat was the reason I sweat the way I did. So, I lost weight. And continued to sweat.
In the 80’s I lifted weights and reduced my body fat to 15% at one point. And I still sweat. I was the guy who went to work with 2 shirts, because I would sweat through the first by lunch.
I sweat when I meet someone for the first time. I sweat when I go somewhere for the first time. I sweat when I wear that special anti-persperant that is supposed to make it so that you DON”T sweat.
I live in an area where the humidity can be 90% and above. The dew point in this area routinely is above 75 degrees.
I was told the other day that I worry too much about those numbers….the humidity level, and the dew point. That perhaps if I didn’t worry about this it would change my point of view. Unfortunately, that isn’t the way that I roll. I need to have those numbers. It helps me to understand why I feel like someone has wrapped a wet woolen blanket around me every time I walk outside.
And yet there are those who say that they don’t sweat. That it just is a little warm. These people cavort about in jeans, and long sleeved shirts under the burning sun.
I hate them as I slowly melt like the Wicked Witch of the West after Dorothy has thrown water on her….
“I’m melting!”
“I’m mellllllltinnnnnnnggggggg.”
Thank the Gods for ice cubes, liquid libation, umbrellas, and ocean breezes.
Oh, and linen clothing…..love the feel of that linen…
