This time of year has always seemed a toss up to me.
When I was working in retail, it was always a push to get everything that could be sold onto the salesfloor to be sold. Transitioning from shoppers looking for large meal planning, to New Year’s Eve snacks and appetizers and then on to pork and sauerkraut and blackeyed peas for New Year’s Day.
Now, being the bonvivant raconteur that I have become, I find this time of year to just be confusing.
That doesn’t look right. Can you be both a bonvivant, AND a raconteur? Or in this day and age is it possible that convention with such things is passe. I have no clue of such things, it seems.
Regardless.
When I was younger I had not time to think about what direction I was headed…I was just moving. Now. I am in a somewhat vegetative state it seems and even the thought of having to decide is daunting.
Choice. It takes courage to make the choice, and even more courage to live with the consequence.
