The desert southwest has been rather chilly as of late. And wet. Not a great combination, but better is just around the corner and I cannot wait. Every year seed catalogs come out and I get itching to get my fingers in the dirt. Last year we moved to a new location during the time when spring planting should have already happened. Consequently, the garden did not get put in. Granted, I should have already put in the potatoes, onions, and garlic but I got lazy and lost focus. It happens.

The intent this year is completely different. The space for rooting the garlic, and leeks has been allocated. The cucamelon seeds have been ordered, though I won’t be planting them until we get into March. The raised garden bed will be put into position and filled with new soil by then.

So the plans are there. I am looking at a video update on a weekly to bi-weekly basis to show the progress, or the failures….you can’t garden without expecting setback.

Here is a short video talking about the space for the garlic and leeks….
