2023 is drawing to a close and I, as a unemcumbered person, have a wide open calendar.

I have the opportunity to take a trip the Southeast in February. It will be a parking lot camping journey for part of the way ending in a possible musical collaboration with my youngest. That child has an amazing voice, and I have never performed with her. I have played backup for her, and her friends….but we have never performed together. And I can absolutely not wait.

This will be my first trip East since 2021. If I follow through with this trip, it will be the way that I wanted to start retirement. Playing music with family, and friends. Video taping all of it. Traveling to, and fro. A bearded, tattooed, somewhat musician.

I have always encouraged my kids to never give up. I am hoping it is time for me.
