Making meals when you are eliminating carbs out of your diet is both simple, and difficult.  Both sides of the same sword.  It is simple because…well…protein.  Meat.  All kinds of meat.  Bacon, beef, chicken, pork, bacon, turkey, fish, bacon, did I mention bacon?  And it is difficult because….boredom.  Eating high protein also means you have to readjust your thought processes concerning food.

Carb laden foods are comfort foods.  Spaghetti, cream soups, baked and mashed potatoes, cheese covered everything, cream covered everything.  Chips, tortilla chips, peanut butter, candy, and the list goes on, and on.

But protein foods?  After the initial excitement of eating bacon all the time grows old.  It grows real old.  And that is hard to do when you are talking about bacon.

I mean…BACON!  But it gets tiresome.

So I open the refrigerator today to find something for lunch.  Hmmmm what do I want?  I could have some protein, but I am kind of tired of that…how about some…I don’t know…how about..PROTEIN?  And if that doesn’t hit the spot, then I could always have some…oh, I don’t know…PROTEIN!!!!!!

I am at a loss here.
