You know, kids….this shit ain’t easy.  Putting your thoughts, feelings, opinions and such out there for the world….or two of your bored friends….to look at and read.  It takes time, effort and the ability to put your thoughts into a decent sentence.

I get that part.  I have been doing this for more than a few years now.  But what gets me good and pissed is the folks who don’t even freaking try any longer.  What do I mean…….

If you write, you don’t just write…..you read also.  You read other peoples work and you study it.  You study it to try to refine what you write.  It is a massive effort of learning how to communicate the very best you can.  Again with the sentence structure, the best possible combination of words to get across what you want to say as clearly as possible.  To draw your reader in….to make a connection.

That being said, I read a lot of blogs….that should be obvious.  I blog, so consequently I read the genre that I write in.  And I have to say that I am not so happy with some of my peers….hell….I can’t even call them peers because most of them are way above my level.  I strive to be at the level that they are …… but they take me, and by me I am talking about their readers….for granted.  Content is king, folks.  What I write here has a purpose in mind…that would be to bring your eyes back here as often as possible.  And to make other people find this spot in the ether and become participants along with you.

Why?

Because as fun as it is to open the tap of my brain and talk to you about the fun I had at the 275th Marine Birthday Ball, or to gawk at horrendous holiday sweaters and get snarky about them the real reason is to get traffic.  The more traffic that can be obtained, the better chance I have to monetize this collection of dreck.

Yes, dreck.  I ain’t writing “War and Peace” here, friends.  I am emptying out my cerebrum to keep it all from leaking out my ears.  And hopefully doing it in a way that makes you chuckle at times.  I understand what I am doing very well.  But some of the folks I read seem not to.  And you can say, “Hey Phil….just find some others to read and move on.”

Time and effort kids.  There are millions….yes, MILLIONS, of blogs out there.  Of those millions, how many do you think are even worth clicking on the link that will lead you to them?

Or maybe I am just pissy that the trash guys woke me up at 7 am this morning bitching and moaning about the amount of trash I pulled out of the house this last week.  They had best get used to it because I am now in full on throw all this shit away because I do not want to move it mode…..

I need more coffee……….

And don’t even get me going about the bloggers who have done nothing for the past month other than try to get their readers to buy their books….ugh………..
