I have no idea where my desire to garden comes from. My parents didn’t garden. They were too busy making a living. My Grandparents didn’t farm. So, I have no idea where I get that green thumb.

I am not a grow from seed kinda gardener. And, I am too cheap to buy seedlings. Instead, I like growing lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, onions, potatoes, chives, and garlic from the scraps we would be throwing away. The root structure at the bottom of the plants just named can sprout new roots, and new sprouts that can be planted and be regrown.

That right there gets me all giddy inside.
