Hey there.

How have you been?

The season is upon us once again, now isn’t it?

Lots of hurrying, and scurrying. Lots of stress and drama.

A few years ago, coming home from the job that keeps me out of hock with the bank, I witnessed a really nice crash. Coming from a side road, a van tried to go across a main street, tried to squeeze between a couple of cars and didn’t make it. Hit square in the side by an oncoming vehicle.

It is interesting the lack of sound that a crash makes. On television you have to turn the sound down if there is a car crash. Not so much in real life.

So, lots of damage, and glass in the road. The EMT’s were called, the police showed up to do their work. And 2 peoples lives were changed. At the minimum 2 peoples lives.

All because of having to be somewhere in a hurry. And I can hear the thought of “how do you know either of these people were in a hurry?”

Because of the squealing tires of the van as it tried to hurry across the main street, and from the speed of the car that hit it.

In an instant, change. The next couple of weeks are going to go by in a blur. I promise you that they will. Please remember that we don’t, each one of us, live in a bubble. Everything you do, and I do has a consequence. Take the time to think of what the consequences of your actions could be.

Lots of parties going on over the next couple of weeks. Lots of opportunities for you, and/or your kids to get into trouble with alcohol. Think about what you are doing. Don’t drink and drive. Don’t ride with someone who has been drinking.

I need you around to read the stuff I write here. Yes. This is all about me.

Glad we could have this talk.
