The full moon in June is known as that Strawberry Moon. Every 18 years, the moon is at its lowest point in the solstice and it has been said to have a reddish color.

I don’t know anything about any of that, all I know is that June is Strawberry month in Michigan. The berries are at their ripest, their sweetest, and just aching to combined with sugar and to be ladled on fresh biscuits. Or over ice cream.

I am looking to honor the strawberry with a new Strawberry Cider brew. This time I will be adding 1lb of cane sugar to give the cider a bit more of a kick that what it had that last time I brewed it.
